At no time will family members be without support. The strong attachments and trust developed in one supportive environment (hospice) are shared and transferred to another (Cremation-With-Care) as the family moves through the process of dying, death & bereavement.
We pledge to be a professional resource for the benefit of the entire community. We accept this unique responsibility to honor the dignity of life, to aid families in time of grief, and to encourage remembrance within each family's own traditions, culture and financial means.
The families we serve never leave the comfort of home. Our licensed social workers gather the necessary information over the phone to ensure your comfort and ease.
Cremation-With-Care provides bereavement specialists such as Clergy and Licensed Social Workers should a family member seek an opportunity to share.
The Catholic Church allows cremation but prefers traditional burial for spiritual reasons, with specific guidelines for cremated remains. The Church requires that cremated remains be kept together and interred or buried in a sacred place, such as a cemetery or columbarium. Scattering, dividing, or keeping cremated remains at home is not permitted, as it shows a lack of respect for the body and hinders the grieving and prayer process. While the funeral Mass is ideally celebrated with the body present, a memorial service with the cremated remains can be held if necessary.
Every year hundreds of families entrust the Logistic Specialists of Cremation-With-Care to send the cremated remains of their loved one's home.
A Power of Attorney is a document that grants another person permission to act on their behalf, during life, thus when that individual passes away, the document is null and void. After death, the executor or personal representative of the estate takes over the responsibility for managing the deceased's affairs, which includes distributing assets and settling debts, according to the terms of the will or state law.
Rightfully so, many people wonder what is within the agent’s power once the principal dies. After all, it would certainly be convenient. As such, can a power of attorney withdraw money after death is a common question and the answer is a resounding NO. They no longer have the authority to make any decisions on behalf of the estate.
Cremated remains are buried or inurned in national cemeteries in the same manner and with the same honors as casketed remains.
Burial benefits available include a gravesite in any of the VA's 135 national cemeteries with available space, opening and closing of the grave, perpetual care, a Government headstone or marker, a burial flag, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate, at no cost to the family. Some Veterans may also be eligible for Burial Allowances.
Social Security pays out two types of death benefits. The first is a lump sum death benefit of $255. The second is an ongoing monthly death benefit called a survivor benefit. A spouse can receive a one-time lump sum benefit of $255. If there is no spouse, a dependent child generally age 18 or under is then eligible for a one-time lump sum death benefit.
